COVID-19 Policy as of 7/28/21

COVID 19 Policy.png

As COVID continues to change, we are doing our best to adapt with it and maintain policies that make sense for our staff and clients. ERA Wellness continues to do our best to keep our clients safe, as that is of utmost importance to us.

We want to continue to be able to offer in person sessions to clients that want or need to see us in office, and are hopeful that we can continue to do so. We want all of our clients and their loved ones to remain healthy, and we want to remain healthy so that we can continue to see you, either in person or virtually.

We understand that COVID and COVID-related policies have become a contentious and polarizing issue, and our main goal is to continue to serve clients and manage risk to illness where we can.

We all need more support than ever right now, and our policies are intended to continue being able to provide that support.

Yesterday, July 27, the CDC released new recommendations about all people wearing masks inside, regardless of vaccination status, in areas of moderate or high transmission. Milwaukee county falls into an area of moderate transmission and low vaccination, and so the new guidelines do apply to our location. The new recommendations can be found here.

Please note that while this is not an outright policy change at this time, we are continuing to monitor current CDC recommendations and COVID transmission in our area. Our policies may continue to evolve as CDC or governmental recommendations change, or as transmission and vaccination rates in our area change.

What you can do:

  • Wear a well-fitting mask in the waiting room, even if you are vaccinated.

  • Do not come to our office if you have any COVID-related symptoms, even if you are vaccinated. A list of common symptoms can be found here.

  • Do not come to our office if you are awaiting the results of a COVID test or have been recently exposed to someone who has COVID-19, even if you are vaccinated.

  • Consider switching to virtual sessions if you are at high risk for COVID-19, live with others who are at high risk or immunocompromised, or are unable or unwilling to wear a mask in our office.

  • Notify us if you were seen in person and later develop symptoms or test positive for COVID-19.

What we are doing:

  • Continuing to monitor CDC and local recommendations and adapt and/or notify clients about policy changes as needed.

  • Wearing masks in common areas, even if vaccinated.

  • Staying home and moving to virtual sessions if we have any symptoms that could be COVID-related.

  • Asking other clients to mask up also, even if vaccinated.

  • Spacing out in person sessions when possible to have fewer clients in the waiting room.

  • Asking clients to agree to our COVID policy prior to beginning therapy with ERA Wellness, and moving to virtual sessions or referring out if clients are unable or unwilling to do so.

  • Utilizing air purifiers with HEPA 13 filters (filtering particles down to 0.1 microns) in the waiting room and session rooms (Additional information on HEPA filters and COVID-19 can be found from the CDC here).

  • Providing hand sanitizer in the waiting room and inner hallway for both staff and client use.

  • Disinfecting high touch surfaces (doorknobs, etc) daily with Force of Nature cleaner, which has been EPA approved against COVID-19.

  • Immediately notifying clients of any potential COVID-19 exposure that occurs in our office.

If you have questions or concerns about our current COVID-19 policies or future policy changes, please contact clinic director Emily Aleksy at 414-301-3411 or emily@erawellnesstherapy.com.
