Emily Aleksy, LCSW, PMH-C (she/her)
Clinic Director & Psychotherapist
High Achieving Women
Hey, I’m Emily. I’m glad you’re here.
Usually by the time you’ve gotten to a therapist’s website, you’ve been hurting for a long time. It can be tough to find a therapist you think you’ll click with, and even harder to actually take that step to reach out to someone. You need someone that gets it. You need someone who can actually help you move forward and truly start healing and feeling better than you do right now. I get that and I’m genuinely glad you’re here.
As of March 2026, Emily is back to seeing clients! She will also be offering Brainspotting Intensives and extended sessions for new clients on a very limited basis.
Intensives are very short term work (2-5 sessions typically) but longer in length - 3 hours plus.
Extended sessions refer to ongoing work (weekly or more often biweekly or monthly) that are extended in length - 90 minutes or longer. These extended sessions allow the work we do to feel less interrupted. We can dig in further in each session so you can feel progress and forward momentum in your healing.
“My clients are usually looking for something different from the typical therapy experience. Maybe 50 minute sessions just don’t work for you. Maybe you need someone who can help you dig deeper. I’m here to help with that.”
As the practice owner of ERA, I’ve intentionally built a space where therapy can be more flexible, more collaborative, and more aligned with the real lives of the people we serve. One of my favorite parts of this work is the freedom to be creative and responsive in how I support and work with my clients.
We don’t have to force your healing into a rigid structure. We get to shape it together. In our sessions, we make decisions in real time, adjusting to what you actually need, not what a standard model says you should need.
I specialize in working with high-achieving women, especially those who are balancing demanding careers, identities, and often the invisible load of parenting. Many of my clients look like they have it all together from the outside, yet internally feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or deeply burnt out. They are thoughtful, capable, and driven… but also incredibly hard on themselves. If that sounds familiar, I get it, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to keep carrying it the way you have been.
I also have a strong focus on neurodivergence, particularly in women who have been late-diagnosed or are just beginning to understand themselves through this lens. Together, we make sense of experiences that may have never quite fit before, reduce shame, increase self-trust, and build systems that actually work for your brain. Whether you identify as neurodivergent or are exploring that possibility, I bring both clinical depth and lived understanding into the room.
I have a particular passion for working with therapists, professionals, and entrepreneurs. These are the people who are the ones others rely on, yet rarely have a space where they can fully exhale themselves. When you’re highly trained, self-aware, and used to being “the one who knows,” therapy can feel different. You may need more depth, more nuance, and someone who can truly meet you at your level. I offer a space where you don’t have to filter your thoughts, simplify your experiences, or stay in the role you’re used to. Whether we’re exploring burnout, imposter feelings, clinical complexity, or the intersection of your personal and professional identity, I bring both advanced clinical skill and a deep respect for your expertise into the room. This is a space where you can be challenged, understood, and supported, without having to shrink any part of who you are. You can really be the client here, and leave your professional self at the door.
My background as a social worker shapes everything I do. The things we struggle with don’t happen in isolation. I consider the broader systems, expectations, and pressures that impact your life. This is especially important in my work with perinatal and parenting clients, where identity shifts, societal expectations, and invisible labor can feel overwhelming. I support clients across the full spectrum of this experience: from deciding whether to have children, to navigating pregnancy and postpartum, to raising and sustaining a family while still staying connected to yourself.
In addition to individual therapy, I offer Brainspotting intensives or extended sessions for clients who are ready to process trauma or move through stuck points in a more focused and accelerated way. I also provide clinical consultation and private practice consultation for therapists, as well as support for professionals and entrepreneurs who want a space that understands both their ambition and their humanity.
The relationship we build in therapy is sacred, and the most important tool I bring into our work. It’s essential that you feel safe, seen, and genuinely understood. I believe my clients when they tell me who they are and what they’ve experienced. I approach our work with warmth, authenticity, and respect, while bringing over 15 years of post-graduate skill, experience, and clinical insight. I will meet you where you are, but also help you go deeper and really get to the root of what’s going on, especially when you’re ready for meaningful change. This is where we really heal.
I’m not a blank-slate therapist. When you sit in session with me, you’re getting a real person. I show up fully, with honesty and presence, because I believe that’s what meaningful therapy requires. Outside of my work, I’m a mom of three. If I weren’t married, I’d probably have a few more cats than I do now. I love reading, doing puzzles, and starting craft projects that I don’t always finish (which, honestly, fits pretty well with how I understand being human).
If you’re looking for therapy that goes beyond the surface; something more personalized, more thoughtful, and more attuned to who you actually are: I’d be honored to work with you.
