Emily Aleksy, LCSW, PMH-C (she/her)
Clinic Director & Psychotherapist
Burnout
Hey, I’m Emily. I’m glad you’re here.
Usually by the time you’ve gotten to a therapist’s website, you’ve been hurting for a long time. It can be tough to find a therapist you think you’ll click with, and even harder to actually take that step to reach out to someone. You need someone that gets it. You need someone who can help you move forward and truly start healing and feeling better than you do right now.
I built ERA to do just that. We have a great team of therapists to help you heal in the way you need to - following your own path, not anyone else’s.
ERA was built on my values - intentionality, integrity, authenticity, & compassion.
ERA will always be a place that remains grounded in its values first, every single day. Two of the most important pieces of therapy are working with someone that feels right for you, and experiencing therapy in a way that works for your life right now. We’re big on both of those here.
Thank you for letting us be a part of your story, whether you come here as a client, follow us on social media, or just pass through this site. You matter, and your story matters.
As of March 2026, Emily will be offering Brainspotting Intensives and extended sessions for new clients on a very limited basis.
Intensives are very short term work (1-3 sessions typically) but longer in length - 3 hours plus.
Extended sessions refer to ongoing work (weekly or more often biweekly or monthly) that are extended in length - 90 minutes or longer. These extended sessions allow the work we do to feel less interrupted. We can dig in further in each session so you can feel progress and forward momentum in your healing.
“My clients usually want something different from the typical therapy experience. Maybe 50 minute sessions just don’t work for you. Maybe you need someone who can help you dig deeper. I’m here to help with that.”
One of my favorite parts of owning my own therapy practice is the ability to get really creative in what I’m doing with clients. We get to drive your treatment decisions in session, in real time. We get to decide what is right for you and really be partners in your healing.
Going to therapy can be a really scary thing, and it’s important to feel good about the person you’re talking to. For many people, it’s necessary to know that when you come into my office, I am truly a safe person to talk to. I believe that the relationship between client and therapist is a sacred and the absolute most important tool I have. I believe in my client’s truths and I believe they are who they say they are.
My background and training as a social worker informs how I think about the impact of systems on the individual, and its really the foundation of how I practice now with all of the populations I work with. I specialize in perinatal mental health - from people thinking about whether or not they want to have kids all the way up through trying to raise them and everything that comes in between. I work a lot with high achieving women and professionals who look like they have it all but are really hard on themselves and just feel unsatisfied or burnt out. I also have a special interest in working with neurodivergence, especially in late diagnosed women.
I’m not a blank slate kind of therapist - you’re getting the real me showing up to your sessions. I’m a mom of 3, and if I wasn’t married I would have a lot more cats than I do. I like to read, do puzzles, and try different craft projects that rarely get finished.
